The Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) Region X celebrated the World Environment Day last June 5, 2023 through a simultaneous clean-up drive participated by different companies and organizations in the region including GAMA Foods Corporation (GFC).
Employees from GFC’s Feedmill and Dressing Plant Departments headed to Brgy. Agusan,
Cagayan de Oro City with their brooms and garbage bags and cleared rubbish out of several areas within the vicinity.
“It is our company’s way of showing that we care. As much as we can, we’d like to join in activities that are beneficial to betterment of our society and of course, our environment.” Kim Acuevas, GAMA Foods Corporation’s Paralegal, said when asked what the activity meant for them.
In partnership with the LGUs, the clean-up drive was also one of the many activities that the DENR has initiated this June which is the Philippine Environment Month.
